COVID-19

21 March 2020

We are currently facing challenging circumstances within our community, country and across the world with the COVID-19 pandemic. Particularly in such a time of crisis, our Church seeks to comply with all recommendations, guidelines and regulations from the Baptist Association and our governments.

The Diaconate (Church Leadership) have carefully discussed the latest directions from our Prime Minister and National Cabinet regarding indoor gatherings; please see https://www.pm.gov.au/media/update-coronavirus-measures-0

Unfortunately, we do not believe that we can manage effective compliance with this direction for our Church Services and other gatherings.

With deep sadness therefore, we have made the decision to suspend all Granville Community Baptist Church services and gatherings—effective IMMEDIATELY until further notice.

We believe that this will minimise the potential risk to our congregation and visitors in this difficult time and is in line with recommendations from the Baptist Association.

Moving forward, we are looking to setup regular electronic communication channels; please drop back her reasonably regularly for the latest information.

Thank you for your understanding and we look forward to your ongoing support for the Church.
